Pinstripes & Paisley

Artistic Statement

For my first attempt at a fashion collection I decided to go with the tried, tested and true motifs of pinstripes and paisley. After first finding the pinstripe in the clearance section, I then decided to complement the colour scheme with a pattern usually associated with bandanas. As someone who loves wondering off the beaten trail and exploring the unknown, I could easily list a dozen uses for a bandana just off the top of my head, pun intended. It is precisely that flexibility, versatility, and timelessness I hope to convey in my collection by way of utilizing the same fabric choice in several differing styles. Most importantly, to paraphrase the musician Dr. John, I try to make a garment which is “going to get a second glance and make you feel good when you dance!”
